DESCRIPTION:This program was originally scheduled for 3-15-17 but postponed to April 10th due to poor weather conditions. \nThis is what Team I has in store for your CLE accredited presentation. \n  \nTeam I\, which now includes both Judge Johnson and retired Judge Wallitsch\, will present a fictional trial in Saudi Arabia involving an American exchange student accused of murder and theft.  The presentation will cover the entire case\, from the initial arrest to the ultimate determination at trial.    The goal will be to demonstrate the similarities and differences between the rights and remedies in such cases between the United States and Muslim Countries.  Along the way\, Team I believes they will bust a number of myths that exist in the United States regarding Shari’a law.

Wieand Barristers’ Inn\, an organization consisting of Lehigh Valley lawyers and our own Judges of the Superior\, Commonwealth\, Common Pleas and federal courts\, dedicated to the development of outstanding lawyers who meet the highest ethical and intellectual standards. \nThe new season of programs begins on Wednesday\, September 27 at the Barristers’  Club. \nWe welcome back our past members and invite those who have yet to be a part of the Inn to join us this season.
